Skills determine what your character is able to do and how well they are able to do it. Skills can be acquired from a trainer, which costs money and experience. You can review your current skills by using the command skills.

There are three components to each skill: the Rating, the Training Level and the Maximum Level.

  • Rating: This is the actual level of the skill. This value can only be increased by the use (whether it is successful or unsuccessful) of the skill.
  • Training: This value is increased every time you improve a skill at a Trainer. Your Rating cannot exceed the Training Level.
  • Max: This is the maximum value for the skill at your current STEM level. Each STEM level increases the Max of a skill by a certain amount (see Training Caps).
